OUR ACTIVITIES

The University has embarked on an ambitious project to train all the teachers of its affiliated colleges for the understanding and alignment of principles of educational methodology in their teaching, and student assessment practices.

Courses

Building on the dispassionate evidences of faculty empowerment practices, RAATI has harmonised the emerging trends of technology with the scholastic capital of traditional learning. The training verticals range from those that are purely on site, to those which are completely online.

Teachers from affiliated colleges are listed on the RAATI website, after a series of trainings, screenings, and approval on multiple benchmarks of academics and leadership. They undergo a review-of-competence procedure on periodic intervals, so as to ensure consistency of training standards.

RGUHS Academic and Administrative Training Institute was conceptualised to provide both academic and administrative training which is updated, relevant and state of the art to all the faculty members of colleges affiliated to of RGUHS. Training the faculty in academic matters ensures uniform and most current knowledge being passed on to the students. RAATI’s role in transforming RGUHS into a world class university is important and essential, and I am sure that RAATI would fulfil its expectations in the near future.

Rajiv Gandhi Academic and Administrative Training Institute (RAATI) is playing a pivotal role to improve the standard of dental education in the state of Karnataka. It enables a dental teacher to be an excellent academician, accomplished researcher in addition to be a competent clinician, through its innovative programmes and novel courses. RAATI deserves admiration and appreciation for its services.

'Change is the only constant thing' it is said. It's a period of great change and paradigm shift from the routine model of class room teaching in the field of education with the advent of online classes and internet backed learning. At this juncture it's very significant that RGUHS has started a training centre for the teachers who may need to upgrade their skills and learn newer modalities of teaching- learning techniques. The centre will immensely benefit the faculty and students of Ayurveda. I thank the Hon VC and wish the new venture all success.

I am impressed by the activities of RAATI, which has given a new direction and purpose for faculty development in the RGUHS. The pharmaceutical education in particular has derived benefits from the numerous training programs that RAATI has conducted both on site, and online. I am sure that the establishment of a dedicated LMS under RAATI will spur the activities and benefit all teachers and postgraduates.

The RGUHS Academic & Administrative Training Institute has adapted well to the evolving trends in educational technology. The provision of flexible, innovative training methodology is an enabling process for the capacity building of its Nursing faculty.
